Post your hardware details including motherboard chipset on your signature, use imageshack to upload the picture and write down here all steps you have done, what you did select and when did appear the error.

I installed the iatkos 1.0r2 already, and it works fine. Aftern I burned the IATKOS V7i DVD, at the first beginning of the boot from the dvd, it shows the kernel panic.
Does anyone can fix it?

Is there a safe way to upgrade the iatkos 10.5.1 to the lasted version? I have tried to upgrade to 10.5.2 and 10.5.4 with the combo files from apple.com, they all crashed.

Be sure your cpu options on bios are like this:

enable disable bit= on
Xd=on
Cpu max limit=off

Also try booting with cpus=1 -v

So I know this thread says [solved] but it wasn't quite enough for me.... I had the same problem (kernel panic) "... ACPI: AcpiOsFree ..." or "Mac Framework succesfully initialized IOAPIC: Version 0x20 vectors 0.23". The weirdest thing was that I had the night before, booted with an iPC osx86 dvd and actually got through installing osx. In my excitement, I recklessly added and removed drivers without backing anything up.... BAD IDEA, but i figured I could always reinstall with the dvd. Well I messed up my install and when I tried to boot with the dvd again i started getting this damned acpiosfree error.

Long story short, I have no idea why this particular string worked, but at the boot options prompt, I used:

mach_970 -v -x -f

and voila, I got to the Installer!!!

Btw, I'm on a Dell m1330, and this problem (and solution) applied with the iPC 10.5.6 and iAtkos v7 (10.5.7) installer dvds. Hope this saves someone else hours of wasted time.

i had the same kernel panic,
for that i tried the following flags with the boot,
platform=ACPI|X86PC mach_970 cpus=1

this got me past the kernel panic but is now hanging the install on the gray apple screen with the wheel rotating, and no dvd activity. :? !!
