oh no... vanilla is just the original apple kernel..since your system supports original apple kernel..just use vanilla kernell instead of voodoo....

for video you will have to search for your video kexts....search around on the forum and you will find it

I followed ElectronicWiz tutorial using Vanilla kernel without success. I'm not expert in this kind of stuff anyway, maybe I made a mistake. Do you know any thread in wich explains what's the best choice in terms of distro and kexts for this laptop? I've looked for the last few days for a new 3670 kext but I haven't found anything. Do you know any specifically?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I'm getting kernel panics when i first boot up and it would go to the apple screen just like you see in the attached pic. If i turn off the machine and boot it up again, it would start up normally with no issues. It's almost consistently every time i first start my laptop i have to do that. Does anyone know what's causing this? I'm running 10.5.8 with the exact same instructions mentioned earlier in this thread. Thank you in advance.

sorry, couldn't upload the pic as it wouldn't allow me to. Basically, it's a bunch of text to the right of the screen as soon as the apple screen comes up during startup.
